I’ve always considered myself a “frustrated artist.” There were creative elements constantly coming into my life—like there was this artist inside screaming at me to pursue art—but it never epitomized, until recently.

My name is Lauren Marin, and I am an oil painter, illustrator, and designer.
I was born on the seacoast of New Hampshire in Portsmouth, but moved around a lot in my childhood, heading as south as Georgia to Louisiana, and then back up north to Portsmouth for high school. I gained many incredible experiences from these travels, though I was always lucky to return home.

I have been drawn to art since I was a little girl. In elementary school, I was involved in a gifted art program that pulled me out of class once a week to take extra art lessons. I began to explore with pencils and paintbrushes, and I was lucky enough to be surrounded by adults that supported my creativity with positive feedback.
